Wilderness Art Blog: Poems by Anita Kurtz-Magee

Anita Kurtz-Magee notes that she’s never written a poem before today’s Wilderness Vases and Poetry activity.

Non-Wilderness Poem

The irritating cry of a leaf blower upsets my reverie

Why must I be subjected to this blaring world

Laughter is my salvation, song and perfume

How may I reach that place

To touch peace and quiet with love may be the answer

Wilderness Poem

The rustling leaves call me to hike  to the wilderness

A bird urges me on

The silence and peace of the woods, the smell of the earth

Moves me
